The integration between Sky Pilot and Klaviyo provides a powerful tool to streamline your digital product delivery, track customer interactions, and improve your overall sales experience. Sky Pilot supplies the data — including product tags and download activity — while Klaviyo uses this information to send emails based on the flows you create. By connecting the two platforms, you can automate communications, ensure customers receive the right files at the right time, and gain insights into how your digital products are accessed and used.

Klaviyo Flows
Important note: The integration does not automatically send download emails or replace Sky Pilot’s delivery emails — setting up the flows and timing in Klaviyo is your responsibility. To send emails directly after purchase, you will need to create a flow in Klaviyo using the data Sky Pilot provides.
Sky Pilot provides two key pieces of data tracking for your digital products that you can use in your flows:
1. Product tags – track when an order includes a digital item (at product or variant level).
2. Order_delivered event – tracks when customers have downloaded or viewed their digital item.
This data allows Klaviyo to identify orders with digital products and monitor customer interactions with their files. You can then use it to create custom email flows, such as sending immediate download emails, follow-ups, or reminders, ensuring customers receive emails according to your flow settings.
For guidance on creating flows, see Klaviyo’s Flows and triggers and Post-purchase flows support articles, or contact Klaviyo directly for assistance.
Stop Sky Pilot Email Notifications When You’re Ready (Optional)
a) Go to Settings > Emails and Security
b) Uncheck "Notify Customers of digital content via email" and click ‘’Save’’
In Case You Were Wondering About Sky Pilot Buttons in Klaviyo
Sky Pilot buttons cannot be used directly in Klaviyo emails. Klaviyo email templates are built using Django, a web framework with its own templating system, and they do not support Shopify Liquid variables. This means our dynamic buttons, which rely on Liquid to generate file-specific download links, cannot be rendered inside the email itself.
As a result, you cannot place “Download” buttons in the Klaviyo email that automatically link to the customer’s digital files. However, as a workaround, you can still give customers access to their content in a few steps:
1. Add a Sky Pilot download button on your customer library page, where all purchased digital files are accessible.
2. Explain in your Klaviyo email that customers need to log in to your store to access their purchased files via the library page.
This approach ensures your customers can easily find and download their digital products, while keeping your Klaviyo emails fully compatible with their system.
