PDFスタンピング

Sky Pilot supports PDF stamping for additional security on your PDF files, this is included on all plans from Growth and above or available for $9 on all other plans.

Stamping your PDFs allows you to add customer specific information such as order number, email or name so that customers are less likely to try to distribute your content online.

To set it up, follow these steps:

1) Navigate to Settings > Tags, Subscriptions and Watermarking > Default PDF stamping settings

2) From here, you will be able to set global settings such as the information you want to include on the PDF and their position on the file.

Adjust the text:

You can include text on the stamp and a number of liquid variables. The default is:

Order {{ order_number } for {{ customer.first_name }} {{ customer.last_name }} - {{ customer.email }}

Store data

Name: {{ shop.name }}

Domain: {{ shop.domain }}

Order data

Order date: {{ date }}

Order number: {{ order_number }}

Customer data

First name: {{ customer.first_name }}

Last name: {{ customer.last_name }}

Email: {{ customer.email }}

4) Adjust the position.

You can adjust where the stamp will appear on all the pages of your PDFs. The default is position 1, which will show in the top left corner of your documents.

Important notes on placement:

- Document Variability: Every PDF is built differently. Because internal dimensions, margins, and "white space" vary from file to file, there is no "one size fits all" coordinate. A setting that works perfectly for a standard eBook might put the stamp in the middle of the text on a scanned document or a legal-sized file.

- The "Invisible" Stamp: If you set your Y-coordinate too high (near the very top), the stamp may fall off the digital canvas and become invisible. If your stamp isn't showing up at all, it’s likely "off-page." Try lowering the Y value significantly to bring it back into view, then adjust upward in small increments.

- Technical Support Limits: Please note that our team cannot manually fix, "nudge," or adjust your stamp placement for you. Our system applies the stamp based on the data within your file; we cannot rewrite the underlying code of your PDF to force a stamp into a specific spot. If you have tweaked the coordinates and the stamp still isn't landing perfectly, it is a limitation of that specific PDF’s internal structure.

- Pro Tip: If a file is giving you trouble, the best fix is to "standardize" it. Open your original document in a program like Microsoft Word or Google Docs and use the "Export as PDF" or "Save as PDF" feature. This flattens the file into a standard page structure that our stamping tool can read much more accurately.

5) From the Products page, enable PDF stamping for each file you want stamped, where you can override global settings for a specific file and click Preview the stamp to see how it will appear before giving customers access.
