When your customers play or stream audio or video files through Sky Pilot, this does not count toward their download limit. A delivery entry is logged on the order history, but the download limit only increases when the customer explicitly downloads the file to their device.
Understanding Download Limits vs Bandwidth Usage
Sky Pilot uses two separate systems:
1. Download Limit
- Controls how many times a customer can download a specific file.
- Only increased by an actual download, not by streaming or previewing.
- Once the limit is reached, the file can’t be downloaded again unless you reset it.
2. Bandwidth
- Represents the total amount of data transferred from Sky Pilot’s servers.
- Used by both downloads and streaming.
- Larger files + more customer access = more bandwidth usage.
Every Sky Pilot plan includes both bandwidth allowance and storage limits, so make sure you pick the right plan for your needs.
