Vimeo is restricted or blocked in some countries due to local regulations or internet restrictions. Based on reports we've received, this may affect customers located in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and China. While these are the countries we're currently aware of, restrictions can change over time and may vary depending on the customer's internet service provider or network.
In addition to country-level restrictions, Vimeo can also be blocked by third-party internet filtering or parental control software. Examples include Techloq, Meshimer, and GenTech Solution, although other security or filtering applications may have the same effect.
To ensure your customers can still watch your videos, Sky Pilot supports a fallback MP4 video. If Vimeo is unavailable, Sky Pilot will automatically stream the MP4 version instead, helping provide uninterrupted access to your content.
