Why are License Keys
Important?

License keys serve as unique identifiers, assigned by sellers to their digital products, ensuring that every purchase is accompanied by a distinct and verifiable key. This feature is particularly crucial for software developers, digital artists, and creators who aim to safeguard their intellectual property and maintain control over distribution

For software developers, license keys are essential for controlling access to their applications or services. By issuing unique keys with each purchase, developers can limit usage to paying customers, preventing unauthorized distribution and piracy.

Similarly, for digital artists and creators, license keys play a vital role in protecting their creations, such as graphic designs, digital art pieces, or multimedia content. By assigning individual keys to each sale, they can track ownership, enforce usage rights, and prevent unauthorized duplication or redistribution.

How to enable License
Keys in Sky Pilot?

If you would like to assign multiple License Keys to one product, you can do that as well by clicking on the "Bulk create License Keys". Here, you can simply write a list of strings which will automatically create and assign License keys to the chosen product. Of course, each individual License key will be only delivered for one order.

How to keep track of
your license keys?

Also, you will be able to track the percentage of License keys assigned to the product which are part of the orders. For example, if you have assigned 3 different License keys to your digital product, and you have had 3 orders, this means that you don’t have any more available License keys for that product. The “progress bar” on your product page will look like this:

Add License Keys

Deliver a custom license key to each customer after purchase.

License keys assigned vs available

100%

Manage License Keys

In the case that you have assigned 3 License keys to your product, and you have had 2 orders, this means that you only have 1 License key available, and your “progress bar” will look like this:”

Add License Keys

Deliver a custom license key to each customer after purchase.

License keys assigned vs available

66,67%

Manage License Keys

It is important to mention that Sky Pilot will send you an email notification whenever this ratio gets to 80% in favor of License keys assigned (which basically means that you have only 20% of available License keys left for that product).
