We’re thrilled to announce a powerful new feature: Link Selling! This feature expands the ways you can deliver digital content to your customers, giving you even more flexibility and control.
What Link Selling Does
Link Selling works in the same way as attaching files to a product in Sky Pilot. Traditionally, you could attach downloadable files, like PDFs, images, or videos, or provide a streaming video directly through the platform. Now, you can do the same with external links.
Instead of offering a file or stream, customers will see a direct link on their download page that takes them to an external URL of your choice. This makes it perfect for directing customers to resources such as:
- Additional product guides or manuals hosted externally
- Bonus content or companion downloads
- Partner sites or affiliate pages
- External registration or survey forms
Essentially, anything you want your customers to access outside of Sky Pilot can now be delivered seamlessly through the same secure system they already know and trust.
How to Set Up Link Selling
Setting up a link for your products is simple and intuitive. Here’s how:
- Go to any product in Sky Pilot.
- Click Add New Link.
- Enter a label or title for your link — this is what your customers will see.
- Paste or enter your URL.
- Click Save to confirm.
Once saved, the link will appear on the download page alongside any other files or streams you’ve attached to the product.
Full Control Over Link Settings
Just like files in Sky Pilot, links come with full customization and security controls:
- Visit limits: Restrict the number of times a customer can access the link, giving you control over one-time offers, limited-time resources, or trial content.
- Expires after: Set a time period after purchase when the link will no longer work.
- Expires on: Choose a specific expiration date, perfect for time-sensitive promotions or seasonal content.
These controls ensure that your content is delivered securely and that you maintain full flexibility over how and when customers can access your external resources.
