My PDF stamping position is not looking quite right. What can I do?

Getting a stamp to land in the right spot can be frustrating because every PDF is built differently. Think of the PDF page like a map with a Horizontal (X) and Vertical (Y) position.

1. How the "X" and "Y" work:

  • X (Horizontal): Increasing this number moves your stamp to the right.
  • Y (Vertical): In the PDF world, the "Y" count starts from the bottom.
  • A low Y number (like 20) puts the stamp at the bottom.
  • A high Y number (like 700) moves the stamp toward the top.

2. Understanding the Limits

It is important to know that our technical team cannot manually adjust or "fix" how a stamp lands on your specific file. The placement is controlled entirely by the hidden dimensions of your PDF. If your document has unusual margins or a non-standard size, the stamp might not land exactly where you expect. If you have moved the X and Y coordinates as far as they can go and the stamp is still not in the "perfect" spot, that is unfortunately the limit of where it can be placed on that specific document.

3. Tips to Improve Placement

Since we cannot change the file structure for you, here are the best ways to handle alignment issues:

  • Avoid the Edges: If you set a position too close to the very top or bottom, the stamp may disappear or be cut off. Stay at least 20–30 points away from the edges.
  • Standardize Your File: If your stamp is acting unpredictable, try opening your original document in Microsoft Word and "Saving as PDF" again. This creates a "clean" file with standard dimensions, which usually solves most placement problems.
  • Trial and Error: Since every PDF is unique, the best way to find the right spot is to adjust your X and Y numbers in small increments until you find the best possible position for that specific file.
